         Streetsboro Paws in the Park

Paws in the Park is a "walk your dog in the park" event held to benefit the 

Portage Animal Protection League.

       The event is held annually on the third Saturday of June at the Streetsboro City Park - Pavilion located on Kirby Lane, Streetsboro, Ohio 44241

  The 5th annual Paws in the Park will be held on June 18, 2011

                                                                         General Information

  • For all ages of dogs and their adult people (children can come - must be with an adult)

  • Open to anyone who wants to participate - you do not have to be a resident of Portage County

  • All dogs must be ON A LEASH at ALL times

  • Please be sure to bring a doggie waste pick-up bag (they try to provide one for every dog, but cannot guarantee they will have enough, since this is a growing event)

  • Arrive at the City Park Pavilion at 9:45am for sign-in

  • Parking is available at the park and at nearby Campus Elementary School

  • The approximately one-mile walk begins at approximately 10:00 am.

  • Participates are asked to donate $10.00 - all proceeds go directly to the PAPL

  • Dogs will receive gifts (i.e. a Frisbee) from Pet Supplies Plus.

  • Certificates will be given for fastest tail wag, best behaved, loudest bark, etc.

  • The Streetsboro Parks and Recreation office will accept sign-ups early June 

  • You can donate and participate the day of the event

Every year there are more and more participants, and every year, every dog, their walker, and also friends and family walking along, have had a great time!
